Things to do for TravelDator

MARKETING for TRAVELATOR:

ASAP- Invitation email (Linette)

§ Compile invitation, map, explanation paragraph that sam wrote on the blog and video link for TravelDator event into a package email.

§ Send email package to everybody in the class so they can forward this information to their friends.

§ Set RSVP date for payment and confirmation (7th August).

Fri 8th Oct Food for picnic (Mike)

· Source food for picnic such as cupcakes, chips, cheese, crackers, salad, sandwiches.

· A option may be to organise students from class to each bring a plate of food for 40 people on the day.

Fri 8th Oct Print media (Ophelia)

· Print name tags

· How to speed date cards

· Event poster

· Interiew questions

· Model release forms etc.

Fri 8th Oct Confirmation Email (Anastasia)

§ Confirm list of paid guests.

§ Send confirmation email and sms to attending guests details location and time of event.

DESIGN for TRAVELDATOR:

Tues 5th Oct. Clearly planned strategy for picnic event (Vida & Ceci)

§ What is the distance and relation of the different food hubs?

§ How are the food hubs identified (ie placing a candlebra cut out to symbolise food hub? Putting the food on top of card board boxes like a mini table)

§ Selected space in Hyde park, determine area needed for 40 people, number of picinic blankets and their spacing and relation to one another.

Tues 5th Oct Clearly planned strategy for each end of the travelator. (Edwin & Matt M)

§ How are the 3 people waiting on each end of the travelator going to occupied, in order to prevent interaction with their next partner before getting on the travelator.

Tues 12th Oct Animated programmatic plans of the TravelDator event. (Sam ,Tan, Matt M, Edwin)

§ Animation in plan view illustrating the sequence of movement through the travelator- ie partner rotation, 5 min private time with partners, program for 3 people waiting on each end, getting your photo taken, the interview etc. All these elements of the designed program should be illustrated in the animated plan.

§ Section, Elevation, Perspective also communicating the above mention information.

Tues 12th Oct Architectural Hypothesis (Edwin, Sam, Vida)

§ Write an architectural hypothesis with reference to examples etc on how the travelator event translates to ‘social architecture’. The text Vida wrote on the blog is a good example of the type of research and ideas that needs to be continued.

PROJECT MANAGEMENT for TRAVELDATOR

Fri 8th Oct First Aid Package (Maria & Natasha)

§ Gather resources for 2 first aid kits for each end of traveldator.

§ Find 2 torches.

§ Source walkie-talkies.

Fri 8th Oct Event Organisation (Maria & Natasha)

§ Notify Patchworks members of their roles on the day

§ Confirm whether we have enough resources to facilitate an organiser in the middle of each couple (20 m intervals)

§ Pre event meet up time and place for patchworks organisers.

§ Logistics of transporting equipment to and from event.

§ Write up back up plan for event

§ Ensure all other tasks are completed.

§ Insurance details

§ Who to contact in case of emergency
