Tschumi (1982) in his essay Program, on the "space versus program" section discussed exploration of the disjunction between expected form and expected use. It was began with a series of projects opposing specific programs with particular, often conflicting spaces. Tschumi consciously suggested programs that were impossible on sites that were to house them; a stadium in soho, a prison near Waldour street, a ballroom in a church-yard. His dialectical framework for research was provided by programmatic context versus urban typology, urban typology versus spatial experience, and spatial experience versus procedure.
If we look back to the theory "form follow function" or "function follow program" , this travelator functions as a moving path way from one place to another end. However, by applying the Tschumi theory, the traveldator event will test to host a program in its unusual place. Furthermore, to test on how program, space, and human behavior especially social interaction relate each other architecturally.
In the "sequences" section, Tschumi discussed about any architectural Squence and its relations: internal relation, external relation and program (occurrences or events). One of the sequences is the transformational sequences.
