Just to give you heads up last night Tristan had a great idea to expand on for our 8th October event and the idea he sprung up is Speed Dating on a Travelator.
In summary we are trying to change an existing program (transporting a person from A to B) by bringing in another set of program (Speed Dating) looking at the theory behind it, applying on to site, temporary changing the existing program, look at the humman interactions and see if the over arching system of "Networking" can be applied on other sites.
The design team are in full steam trying to develop a rich theoretical taxonomy on Speed Dating, which includes theory understanding/diagramming/photograpghy.
Our aim to present our findings in our next design gathering.
Some people may be confused about the key word "Taxonomy" don't worry I was as well.
I did some quick research on it to get my head around it and my definition behind it is:
Taxonomy is the practice and science of classification. The word finds its roots from the Greek meaning 'order' or 'arrangement'
By applying Taxonomy and Speed Dating we are trying to study/understand dating behavior, how decisions are made, what we can change and how it effects people in a set length of time.
