No Turning Back

As I travelled through the tunnel this afternoon one thing came to my mind, this is just a journey, it is all about travel and getting from point to the next, as quickly as one can, there is no loafing about the task, the movable walkway ensures that, the speed which the mechanical walkway moves at does not allow the traveller to enjoy and consider the art work on the wall, the art work is not effective in softening this harsh environment, another glaring point that was highlighted was the absense of noise or life, it was a desolate and an eerie place, it was just soulless. There is also the further constraint of lack of space and the commitment to finishing the journey once it has commenced. There can be no turning back.
An idea came to my mind, what if we make this journey available to the users horizontally; I mean what if we provided a different type of a journey lying down on a table, or a stretcher of some sort for a fee or a donation of some sort to whoever wants to, this could be a type of a human production line. Or it could be a simulation of the journey that is undertaken to the operating theatre.
Maybe the heart foundation could sponsor or endorse the project as a way of highlighting what could happen and how scary it could be to be wheeled into the operating theatre. The tunnel is a bit like an artery, it accomodates flow and is hidden from view.
